Symposium weerbaarheid energiesystemen
De sectie Energie & Klimaat van de NNV organiseert op 6 februari 2026 een symposium over de weerbaarheid van energiesystemen. De bedoeling is om wetenschap en beleid samen aan het woord te laten en de zaal zoveel mogelijk in het gesprek te betrekken.
Tijdens dit symposium staan onderwerpen centraal als het onderzoek naar batterijtechniek en de toepassing daarvan in elektrische voertuigen, andere technieken waarmee energie een aantal dagen kan worden opgeslagen, technieken voor lokale back-up voor langere periodes, en algoritmes voor het operationaliseren van lokale netten. Michel Heijdra, directeur-generaal Klimaat & Energie, geeft de keynote.
In de middag zijn er de volgende workshops (voertaal Engels, tenzij alle aanwezigen voldoende Nederlands spreken):

11:30–12:30 Table Discussions: discussion of specific topics at ca five tables, each chaired by an academic and supported by a policy secretary/facilitator from the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (KGG). Table chairs: Esther Alarcon Llado, materials for sustainable energy, AMOLF en UvA, Anja Bieberle-Hütter, electrochemical materials and interfaces/solar fuels, DIFFER, and panelists.

- Resilience
- Energy production (sustainability, social acceptance, winter generation)
- Scaling challenges for energy storage

13:30–14:30 Table Discussions – Round 2: same topics, different participants. Chairs and facilitators remain the same. Tables may respond to insights from the morning sessions and contribute new perspectives.
14:30–14:45 Short break (including preparation of feedback by table chairs)
14:45–15:30 Plenary Panel with All Table Chairs: Do we have all the knowledge we need?
Each chair will briefly present their perspective and the outcomes of their table discussions, followed by a panel discussion.
15:30–15:45 Short break (including preparation of the KGG wrap-up)
15:45–16:30 Closing Session:
- Policy wrap-up (Fonz Dekkers, Cluster Lead Energy Innovation, Ministry of Climate and Green Growth): next steps and follow-up questions identified by KGG; reflections on how policymakers have been inspired
- Discussion with the audience: new insights gained by participants; ideas for research; challenges for the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ) and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW)
- Concrete agreements on follow-up contacts
