Student Session

Challenges for physicists: Kwantumverstrengeling en communicatie
In de afgelopen jaren zijn er enkele tot de verbeelding sprekende experimenten uitgevoerd waarin kwantumverstrengeling een rol speelde. De studentensessie, die geleid zal worden door Caspar van der Wal (RuG), zal beginnen met een praatje waarin de achtergrond van dit fenomeen wordt toegelicht. Hierna worden de deelnemers aan het werk gezet met een uitdagendede case. Zij zullen in groepen nadenken over de mogelijke toepassing van kwantumverstrengeling in de communicatietechniek en de technische uitdagingen die hierbij overwonnen moeten worden.
Aangeraden voorkennis: het (introductie)vak kwantummechanica.
